The Tearjerking School Year 2012-2012

In my five years of teaching, it was my first time to cry on the last day of my students at school. Yes, it happened yesterday. The whole class was watching the video clips of the Performing Arts and our Ballerinas. Suddenly, day one with the students at school flashed back. They have changed. They have become better persons. They are no longer wearing the same blanket of unlike behavior instead I've found them wearing the love wrapped around them by every parent, visitor, teacher and sponsor. It was overwhelming to witness them progress in their own little way. Seeing their petals open a bit that makes them ready to face the changing weather, which is the world. I only wish that they will continue to learn to dream for a better life and I pray that they may have the courage to stay strong and pursue their dreams inspite the challenges that they will surely face. Thank God for the tons of patience, understanding, wisdom and Love!

Now, I understand why my mother cried even on simple preschool graduation or ballet recital. I realized how much my mother loves me.

I really feel blessed working at Mano Amiga Academy. There's a strong wheel of positivity, the desire to help and the passion to teach.

Tears of Joy, tears of success, progress and love.

ANgel's Kitchen

Huwow! I should have taken pictures of the food! Big servings! Delicious food. Polite and friendly crews. Simple yet brings so much happiness to the people who would try to eat.
A must try restaurant @ Tanauan.

Life @ Mano Amiga February 7, 2012

I was already convinced. Lo won't make it for grade 3. She won't be able to cope up and deal with that level. I was telling our Principal that Lo doesn't have enthusiasm to learn. I can see her challenges and struggles inside the classroom. Her coping mechanism is to bully her classmates or do something else.

Things are way too challenging for her. The lessons are too tough for her.

Yes, a week before February 7, 2012, I was totally convinced Lo won't make it. It was very challenging and enlightening at the same time to actually be hearing words of encouragement from the principal that Lo would surely make it if given more support and more appreciation so I gave her another chance.

Until February7, 2012 came.

Teachers do get frustrated with our students. We teach them the way we want them to learn. We use tricks that were used to us before when we were studying. But did it ever occur to you that it is not applicable to them? That they are different and that they learn in different pace?

Yes that’s the reality that we have to face. Learners have to learn but we also have to cater their needs. If we are really teaching for bread and butter it would be very difficult to give results for children who are learning slowly.

Because of our frustration we blame them for the challenges they have. Yes they do have a responsibility to also do their part. But since we are the ones responsible to them we should be able to make them understand why it’s difficult for them to understand the subject matter.

Sometimes we lose patience. Sometimes we become so disappointed and just blame the kids for the mistakes we also commit.

We sometimes wonder why our students are shouting? There are many factors, it could be of their environment, it could be their classmate, or it could be US. That’s the most frightening reality that would really hit on us. That we are the reason why our students fail. Of course, it’s not always true. It can’t be just teachers contributing to the growth of the students, parents should also be of help. Everything starts at home. Values should really be integrated and it shouldn’t only be said or recited. They should be practised and seen to all of us adults surrounding them.

Sometimes, we also have to look on ourselves to correct the problem inside the classroom. Sometimes we are too strict, too lousy, too friendly, too accommodating.
Right now, I feel like crying. My student is working on her own after teaching her the concept of multiplication. I know it’s not going to be easy. It takes time, but patience will seriously lead them to success. The patience should start within me.
The reality that the world where my student is, hurts me. Pains me that it’s not easy to be like her. Living in a shanty where her other siblings stay in. Parents do not really care about their kids’ future but their own pleasure. It’s striking to know how hard it is to be in a squatter’s area.

I am loving my students more and more each day that I feel there’s a need for more help to them. But how? I’m only one. I have God with me, the most omnipotent. He will take good care of these children.

Raining Resignation

It has become a trend in the current government. It doesn't make an impact anymore when I see, hear or learn about a government official is resigning. It's either they are involve in a corruption case or election cheating. So come one. Don't think that you're giving us a treat when you resign. What happened and what you did are still unacceptable and resigning doesn't make you free from anything. Perhaps you may think it will resurrect you from any judgement but for me it doesn't make you any different from a dirty politician. So don't pretend that you're someone clean. I know your dirt. I just hope you have conscience. Now, I'm thinking what will happen in our future having known that you will seat in the same position.

Don't make a fool out of us.

We're smarter now. YOU can't outsmart us again.

Not again. Zubiri. it's not a clean slate Zubiri.

purpose

Do you know that everything in this world has a purpose?
DO you know your mission on this earth?
DO you know why God has created you?

Realize, the ants eat the dead animals, human or any kind of living thing that dies. Except for dead trees and dead rocks. It is also essential in the food cycle of insects and like what I have mentioned human. This is a very tiny creation, but with very IMPORTANT mission.

Rocks, were created to help in building buildings, establishments, homes and roads. Rocks make our life easier by turning them into helpful stuff in our homes. Some of them become accessories, house decor and sometimes even healing element. Note, ROCKS are non moving things.

Dogs, were perhaps created to help human to protect themselves from any harm. They were also created to be human's bestfriend, entertainment and even a creator of fun and give meaning to someone's life. Sometimes a savior. They only bark, but they do a lot of things just to protect us.

Birds, the tweeting birds. Now they are very popular in iPhones or apple's world for angry birds. Entertaining us. In reality, they actually provide comfort and relaxing atmosphere, they are also in charge of spreading seeds. Some farmers see them as harm to their farms but the truth is they are the ones making the seeds available to the soil. Making the farm more productive. They sing a very beautiful music, some can echo whatever we say, some can make very unique sounds and some can just produce one of a kind sound. Again, this creature can't say a word unless trained, unable to walk but fly, unable to hug but then again do its purpose and challenge human to do the same.

Listen, stop and reflect.
We are human.

We are all created by GOD to be His servant. To be a disciple of His words. Let's listen to God's words and realize our mission in this world.

Stop, we might be working much that we tend to ignore His whispers to us. Inviting us to follow Him.

Reflect, in our silence we CAN HEAR GOD talking to us. LISTEN, STOP REFLECT.

Everyone was created to serve and to be God's servant.
Some of us are being given power to realize our own mission.
But of course in any reality show some are still influenced by evil and many can't still figure out their mission in this world.

Know why you're journeying this life. Know why we are here. Know why we have to be alive. Know and do something about it.

You were born to become someone. That someone will make a change in this world. The world is big. But our small goodness will spread God. By spreading God we spread his love to others and others will follow HIM. :)

AWESOME GOD we have!

Thank you!

Independence DAY DAW

Nakakahiya.Nakakapangliit. Kaya maige pa eh 'wag na lang o better yet let's do something about it. Itapon na ang lahat ng kalokohan at magsilbi na lang sa bayan ng maayos.
